A spectacular “Mystery Trip” organised by our esteemed DA/Trip Coordinator, Brian Miller. We commenced early Saturday at Simon’s Seat in Bald Hills, with a challenge list of photos to take and items to collect. Up hill and down dales, following more tractors we stopped for morning tea along side a river, before heading to Cunninham’s Gap lookout for lunch. Many more long straight, some windy and even a few dirt country roads, we arrived at the campground opposite Rudd's Pub for a feed and camp

A spectacular “Mystery Trip” organised by our esteemed DA/Trip Coordinator, Brian Miller.

We commenced early Saturday at @Simon’s Seat in Bald Hills, with a challenge list of photos to take and items to collect to WIN the coveted $50 prize at the end of the day.

We meandered out through Samford and then turned up and down many long roads, zig-zagging, going in circles, squares and triangles, slowly following every tractor Brian could find (and there were several) before the trip leader vehicle chose to lose all power at a busy intersection.

Final verdict was flat battery due to stuffed alternator, a quick trip down the road, new battery installed and fed battery put on charge in another vehicle to swap out when needed.

Off again, up hill and down dales, following more tractors we stopped for morning tea along side a river, before heading to Cunninham’s Gap lookout for lunch. Many more long straight, some windy and even a few dirt country roads, two more battery changes we arrived at The campground opposite Rudd's Pub Nobby QLD as our final destination.

A fantastic feed across the road at the pub, before great conversation and laughs around the campfire before shivering off to bed. The Nobby General Store owner told us it was 1.9 degrees overnight.

After pack up, we headed the long way home, following the Cobb and Co tourist drive and stopping in several country towns for a look. One more battery change for Brian and home through the South Burnett, Cooyar, Goomeri, Kilcoy areas until home.
