History of MDORC

Moreton Districts Off Road Club (MDORC) has been operating since before 1985.

Affectionately called MDORC, offers the opportunity for anyone interested in four wheel driving and camping to get out and enjoy the great outdoors with like-minded people, and really enjoy your leisure time. We run a variety of activities to suit most vehicles and driving styles, from beach driving right up to extreme and night runs. As an official club that is affiliated with the Queensland Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs you can be assured that we receive support from the State Association, are Incorporated and carry the necessary Insurance policies.

It also means that we have access to locked gate areas that are not open to the general public, giving us a wider choice of areas to enjoy. We are a small, friendly family orientated club of varied ages, enjoying and encouraging a mixed membership of vehicle makes and sizes, standard and modified, new and older. Our club offers driver experience in the best usage of your 4WD vehicle in off-road conditions, with the added safety and security of having other vehicles on hand if needed.

You can also learn how to avoid or drive out of a tricky situation before you get into one! We have always been involved in helping the community and actively participate in environmental clean up projects and charity fund raising. So if you are a licensed driver and your vehicles is safe/roadworthy, registered and insured with approved recovery points front and rear, why not come along and meet the Moreton Districts Off Road Club?
