Pink Ladies Day 2015

4/11/2015

Ivan and I turned up at the Markets at around 6.15am when it was still cool and a little cloudy, Eamonn followed shortly after. Unfortunately (for us anyway) Redcliffe Jetty Market has got a little more popular since this time last year, so we were restricted on stand size. This meant we couldn’t use the club gazebo as it was too big, but we had to have something as shade was desperately needed. Fortunately, Eamonn was on the case and had got Cecelia and kids to stop off at Rays Outdoors on the way to the market to purchase a smaller gazebo. Rays don’t open until 8.30am so the first couple of hours we were just using the table and big boobies to advertise ourselves - no problem though because you weren’t going to miss Eamonn!!!! We stuck around for a couple of hours shaking the tins and then departed when the Grimstone family arrived to support Eamonn. A big thanks to everyone who helped out and dressed up - the pictures look amazing, but I think (like everyone else) the honours have to go to Eamonn for effort and affect. Genny

A hot day standing in the sun… But the public was AMAZINGLY generous donating for a good cause. Eamonn was the star attraction… Encouraging every male walking past to check the breasts of their partner regularly. Evan was taking the Anonymous approach in his pink Lycra suit and Tiny supported the cause from a comfy chair in the back of the gazebo.
Congratulations to EVERYBODY (adults and kids) who helped set up, shook the tins, and supported the Club on this worthy (pink) fund raising event. From Helen D :)

I just want to mention those who took time out of their day to volunteer: Genny, Ivan, David, Helend, Evan, Aleisha, Mick, Anna, Sarah, myself, Cec, Sean, Erin and most of all Eamon. I think he did a fantastic job. The effort he put into getting dressed uup and rounding up the crowd was exceptional and he did not stop all day. Nearly everyone that came up wanted to take a photo with him. Overall I think it was a great day full of fun and laughter. Leighanne
