A total of 376kms driven. Many thanks to our wonderful trip leader Ellen and her offsider Marcel for putting on yet another great Moreton Districts Off Road Club event. Just a great bunch of people getting out in the great outdoors and enjoying themselves away from all the pressures and hazards of work life. See you all again and the next club event. Left CJ’s Bakery Woodford at 8am; we had a total of 8 cars we would of had 9 but unfortunately Nardine was not feeling the best so had to drop out. Aired down on Stoney Creek Road, headed up to Belthorpe Ellen, Marcel, Daniel, visitors Sarah and Rowan Tiny and Leigh Peter and Belinda, Ken and Kristy, Nathan and Tanya, Eddie and Laurraine taking up the tail. We stopped to stretch the legs and walked 2 mins to a huge tree where Tiny gave us all a lesson in tree life; he even knew how old the tree was It was like he was our very own tree whisperer. We arrived at Booloumba creek day use area at 11am for morning tea / lunch and a quick swim in the creek. Headed off at 12.30pm on our way to Peach Trees. We arrived at Peach Trees around 3pm where we all set up camp for the night. Ben and Laura had set up by the time we had arrived. Some had swags some had tents and one couple tried out their new roof top tent. Nardine and Lee had arrived later to join us and I also got the chance to catch up with an old school friend and her family. Everyone had a few drinks and a few laughs and I think we were all in bed by 10.30pm. We all woke the next morning by a large bunch of white cockatoos, so much for a sleep in. Packed up and ready for departure at 8.30am. Quite impressed with Ellen's time management skills. Headed out of Peach Trees down Kilcoy Murgon road to the Landcruiser Mountain Park turn off. But instead of making a left hand turn we made a right onto Kingham Old Yabba Road.
